Question by 1537492: How can I turn a digital camera into a outdoor security camera?
I would be able to encase it so It would not get water damage from the rain, the only problem is that my cable to hook it up to the tv is only 2 ft. I need a 20 ft cable, would there be any other problems with this

Yes, you are neglecting power issues. Your best bet is to get a video camera that is made to be a security camera. You could, with enough time and money invested, make this camera work, but why, when there is already an exact product for your needs?
